HOW TO BREW

Brewing tea may seem simple, but small details can make a big difference in the flavour, aroma, and overall experience in the cup. The temperature of the water, the amount of tea used, and the length of time it steeps all influence how the leaves release their character. Following a few basic guidelines helps ensure that each tea is brewed the way it was intended, allowing its full range of flavours and aromas to develop.

On this page you will find recommended brewing practices designed to help you get the best results from your tea. Whether you are preparing a delicate green tea, a robust black tea, or a fragrant herbal infusion, these guidelines will help you create a balanced, enjoyable cup every time.

Steeping Instructions

  1. Start with fresh-drawn cold water. Bring to a rolling boil. Let sit to temperature suggested.
  2. Warm the teapot.
  3. Use one teaspoonful of loose tea or one teabag per cup (6 oz.) of water.
  4. When the water is at the correct temperature, take the kettle to the warmed teapot and pour over the tea.
  5. Cover and let steep for times suggested.
  6. Strain tea or remove the teabags. Enjoy!
