On December 19, 2019, the United Nations General Assembly passed resolution 74/241, declaring May 21st ‘INTERNATIONAL TEA DAY‘. We aim to elevate tea and celebrate it around the globe. The resolution acknowledges the “… urgent need to raise public awareness of the importance of tea for rural development and sustainable livelihoods and to improve the tea value chain to contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

Thank you for celebrating the WOMEN IN TEA with us. To ALL the remarkable women in tea, we raise our cups.

One of the many great organisations we mentioned during Sofa Summit was Ufulu, who have been working tirelessly to end period poverty in Malawi.

To find out more and support Ufulu, please visit their website. For the price of a few cups of take out tea, you can change the life of a woman.
